Vieux was commissioned in 2019 by Brookfield Properties to create “/light_wave,” a site-specific installation at 15 MetroTech in Brooklyn, curated by Tom Kotik. This immersive artwork demonstrates Vieux’s commitment to pushing the boundaries between digital and physical realities, harnessing digital manipulation of light and color to transform the space into a contemplative environment. Through experimental techniques, Vieux synthesizes her interest in both analog and digital processes, refracting and distorting light to produce abstract forms that respond to the architecture and the urban energy of Downtown Brooklyn. Her commissioned installation at 15 MetroTech stands as a testament to her ongoing exploration of perceptual boundaries and the influence of technology on contemporary visual experience
